IRO/CIA Compliance Services

The increase in regulatory scrutiny of the pharmaceutical industry has resulted in many settlements with the government. These settlements usually take the form of a Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) with the Office of Inspector General (OIG) or Consent Decree of Permanent Injunction with the Department of Justice (DOJ). There are also many indications that this scrutiny is now being applied to the medical device and biotech industries. These settlements dictate that the settling company must hire an Independent Review Organization (IRO) to assess the compliance with defined requirements of the CIA or Consent Decree.
